Cellmate Killer Pleads Guilty to Murder at Nottingham Prison

A man has admitted murdering his prison cellmate at HMP Nottingham. Ferencz-Rudolf Pusok, 30, with no fixed address, pleaded guilty to killing Brett Lowe, 43, at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday 26 October.

Brutal Assault Behind Bars

Brett Lowe, from Stapleford, died on 18 July 2018 after Pusok attacked him inside the prison on Perry Road, Sherwood, Nottingham. The assault proved fatal, cutting Lowe’s life tragically short.

Investigation and Court Details

Detective Inspector Rachael North, who led the probe, said: “My thoughts are with Brett’s family today, who have had to come to terms with the cruel and sudden loss of a loved one.”

Pusok was serving a ten-week sentence for criminal damage, using threatening or abusive behaviour, leaving a moving train, and resisting a police officer. He will be sentenced at a later date at Nottingham Crown Court.
