Man Arrested Over Murder Protests Innocence After Release

David Jenkins, 39, has hit back after his arrest in connection with the murder of Perry Cardy. Despite being released without charge, Jenkins insists he had no part in the killing and slammed online critics.

Jenkins Speaks Out on Facebook

In a statement on social media, Jenkins said: “To all the nosey people slagging me off – I WAS NOT involved. I was arrested because I was there and took two glasses off the accused. I walked off around another man to put the glasses down and when I turned around, he hit him. Another man was standing between me. I left alone. I have been released with no charge because I wasn’t involved.”

Police Confirm Charges and Ongoing Probe

Hampshire Constabulary confirmed tonight that one man has been charged in connection with the murder. Jenkins was released but remains under police investigation as enquiries continue.

The investigation into Perry Cardy’s murder remains very much open.
