Man Jailed for Over Seven Years After Brutal Horsham Glass Attack
A violent thug has been locked up for more than seven years after a savage, unprovoked assault in Horsham. Keiron Everitt launched a vicious attack on Rushmans Road using a pint glass, leaving his victim with serious injuries.
Gruesome Attack Leaves Victim Scarred for Life
The 37-year-old Everitt pleaded guilty at Lewes Crown Court to intentionally causing grievous bodily harm. The horrifying attack happened around 6pm on November 18 last year, targeting a 23-year-old man.
Everitt, of Longford Road, Bognor, was handed a hefty seven-and-a-half-year prison sentence for his brutal actions.
Police Hope Sentence Sends Strong Message
“Keiron Everitt is a violent offender who assaulted the victim in a vicious and unprovoked attack, leaving him with lifelong scarring,” said Detective Constable Bav Chahal.
“This custodial sentence has put a dangerous criminal behind bars, which I hope provides some reassurance to the victim.
“This kind of violence will not be tolerated in Sussex, and we were determined to get justice for the victim.”
Everitt is now serving his sentence in custody, ensuring the streets of Sussex are a little safer.
