Man Left Fighting for Life After Hit-and-Run in Birmingham
West Midlands Police are hunting for witnesses after a man suffered life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run crash in Birmingham last night (13 Jan).
Crash at Busy Junction
The incident happened around 6.30pm at the junction of Belgrave Middleway and Highgate Road. A vehicle struck a man in his 40s before speeding off.
The pedestrian was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in a critical but stable condition.
Police Nab Two Suspects After Dangerous Driving Spree
Shortly after the collision, officers spotted a car driving dangerously nearby. They tracked the vehicle to an address and arrested two men, aged 39 and 27, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Both suspects are still in custody awaiting questioning.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage
“A man has suffered traumatic injuries and we need to piece together what happened,” said Det Sgt Julie Lyman from the serious collision investigation unit. “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, saw the collision, or has dash cam footage to get in touch.”
