Man in Court Over Shocking Attempted Rape of Teen Girl in Selsey
A 20-year-old man has appeared in court accused of the attempted rape of a 13-year-old girl in Selsey.
Attack Reported in Alleyway at Dawn
The horrific incident reportedly took place around 8.20am on Wednesday 29 May, in an alley between Manor Road and Manor Lane. The terrified victim was just 13 years old.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Ewing Gilmour, unemployed and with no fixed address, was arrested later that same evening. He faces a charge of attempted rape of a child. Gilmour was remanded in custody and appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on 31 May.
Trial Set for Late June – Police Seek Witnesses
The case is heading to Portsmouth Crown Court for trial on 28 June. Meanwhile, Gilmour remains in custody awaiting the date.
