Disqualified Driver Jailed After Reckless 15-Minute Arundel Police Chase
A disqualified driver led police on a wild 15-minute high-speed chase through the streets of Arundel before being caught and jailed for 12 months.
Marley Keet’s Dangerous Escape
Marley Keet, 28, from Old Market Lane, Littlehampton, was already banned from driving when police spotted him near Arundel around 1pm on April 13. When officers tried to pull him over, Keet blasted off, weaving recklessly through traffic and endangering pedestrians in the town centre.
The pursuit stretched all the way towards Amberley before Keet crashed into a rural dead-end, finally bringing the chase to a close.
Sentence and Police Response
Keet was handed a 12-month jail sentence for his dangerous actions. Sussex Police slammed his reckless driving and vowed to crack down hard on disqualified and uninsured drivers across the county.
“Keet showed complete disregard for public safety, risking serious injury to others,” a Sussex Police spokesperson said. “We remain committed to road safety enforcement and will continue taking tough action on offenders.”
