Woman Raped in Dover – Police Urge Public to Speak Up

A woman in her 40s has reported a horrific rape in Dover, and police are desperate for witnesses to come forward.

Victim Left Pub in Early Hours, Fears Attack on Way Home

The victim left a pub in Charlton Green in the early hours of Saturday, 18 July 2020. She can’t clearly remember how she got home but believes she walked through Frith Road, Salisbury Road, and Bridge Street.

She woke at home later that morning, bruised and injured on her face, suspecting she had been raped.

Suspect Arrested but Released on Bail

Kent Police arrested a 41-year-old man from Dover on Sunday, 19 July, on suspicion of rape. He remains on police bail until 14 August while inquiries continue.

Police Seek Witnesses – Did You See Anything?

Officers have reviewed CCTV and are carrying out enquiries but need the public’s help. If you saw anything suspicious or spotted the woman walking those Dover streets between midnight and 2am on 18 July, contact Kent Police immediately.
