Met Police Shut Down London Drug Gang with 100+ Years of Prison Time
London’s Met Police have smashed a massive Class A drug dealing ring after a three-year sting. More than 100 suspects were arrested and face over 700 years behind bars combined. Seven top crooks were jailed last week at Kingston Crown Court, ending the long-running operation.
Seven Hit with Stiff Sentences
The crackdown targeted big-time drug networks supplying cocaine, heroin, MDMA, and cannabis across London. The seven key players were convicted of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs after a gruelling nine-week trial, landing them hefty sentences totalling over 100 years:
- Dean Beeton, 37, Watford – 27 years
- Perry Davies, 33, Watford – 16 years
- Gary Piper, 38, Watford – 15 years
- Giovanni Luciano, 33, no fixed address – 17 years
- Jason Holland, 48, Buckinghamshire – 12 years
- Mark Oldfield, 42, no fixed address – 10 years
- Callum Doherty, 29, Fulham – 14 years
Operation Uncovers Massive Drug Haul
During the three years, police smashed at least 20 criminal networks, seized over 280kg of cocaine, 8.5kg of heroin, 15,000 MDMA tabs, 45kg of cannabis, and recovered 12 firearms including a submachine gun. The gang used safe houses around London and made more than 38 cocaine trips from the West Midlands.
They employed encrypted phones and pay-as-you-go devices to dodge cops and laundered their filthy cash in secret. Police also found a stolen painting worth over £1 million during the raids.
Longest Trial Ever in Drug Case
The trial demanded more than 150,000 pages of evidence and half a million lines of digital data. Police put the evidence on tablets for jurors due to its unbelievable volume.
The gang hauled in about £2.7 million every 7-10 days at the peak of their trade. Luciano organised the supply even while locked up, using smuggled phones inside prison to keep the pipeline flowing.
Met Police Send a Clear Warning
“This operation has undoubtedly prevented incidents of violence and potentially saved lives,” said Detective Superintendent Danny Gosling. “We will use every power and tactic at our disposal to bring criminals like this to justice.”
Judge HHJ Coello slammed the gang, saying, “You cause the most damage as you are at the top of the tree. The supply fuels violence and acquisitive crime and does untold damage to communities.”
The massive haul of high-purity cocaine—estimated conservatively at over one tonne—was a direct link to violent crime on London’s streets.
This landmark case sends a warning to drug dealers everywhere: the Met is cracking down hard and will not stop until London is cleaned up.
