Monster Jailed for 21 Years for Sex Attacks on Dementia Patients

Vile Pervert Gets Life-Long Sexual Harm Prevention Order

Joshua Springer, 36, was slammed with a 21-year prison sentence for nine counts of rape. The sickening crimes targeted three dementia sufferers at a Stamford care home and a fourth victim in North Yorkshire.

Lincoln Crown Court handed down the harsh sentence on Friday, 20 February. Alongside his jail term, Springer was hit with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order that will last the rest of his wretched life.

Care Home and Victims Shielded from Public

Authorities have kept the names of the care home and victims under strict wraps to protect the vulnerable elderly. Springer, who once lived in Cornstall Buildings, Stamford, also admitted to offences involving indecent images of children.

Guilty Plea Brings Justice Closer

Springer confessed to the horrific crimes last December at Lincoln Crown Court, fast-tracking sentencing. The grisly case has left the community stunned but relieved justice is served.
