BBC’s Paranormal Series Returns with a UFO Twist!

“Paranormal” is back—and this time, it’s all about those little green men. Following the smash success of the first series, which raked in over 2.7 million streams on BBC iPlayer, Radio 1’s Sian Eleri is launching a brand new investigation. Her mission? To uncover UFO mysteries lurking in Welsh skies.

UFO Sightings Haunt 1970s & 80s Wales

Sian dives into a strange chapter of Welsh history from the 1970s and 1980s. Across cities, seaside towns, and rural villages along Wales’ south and west coasts, locals reported bizarre UFO sightings and eerie phenomena. Eyewitnesses came from all walks of life, sharing jaw-dropping tales that have baffled experts for decades.

Sian Eleri: Skeptic Turned Skywatcher

“A second series is upon us! It’s been so eye-opening to investigate such open-ended issues, with series one raising questions challenging my own beliefs. I can’t wait to get started on the next celestial adventure,”

Sian said. “The world of UFOs, extraterrestrial activity, and what’s really out there is vast—who knows what we might find? I’m intrigued.”

Her natural skepticism will be tested once again after exploring haunted farmhouses in North Wales during the first series.

BBC Bigwigs Pump Up the Paranormal Adventure

Clare Sillery, BBC’s Head of Documentary Commissioning, enthused:

“It’s been great to see how our audience enjoyed the first series of Paranormal. I’m delighted Sian Eleri will be returning—this time for a dive into the weird world of Ufology.”

Nick Andrews, Head of Commissioning at BBC Wales, added:

“Our nation’s obsession with the paranormal is confirmed with our smash-hit first series. Why wouldn’t we go again? This time to outer space. If some rumours and archive footage hold true, Sian’s about to uncover an extraordinary true story… or is she? This is what we love about this series.”
