‘Tarzan’ Drug Line Busted in Surrey Sting

Police have smashed a major class A drugs operation known as the ‘Tarzan’ line in Surrey. The line, uncovered during a crackdown last year, was finally cut off at the source in January when officers arrested the ringleader.

Kingpin Mason Dean Nabbed with Stash

Detectives zeroed in on Mason Dean, 24, from Oyster Lane, Byfleet, acting on fresh intelligence. He was arrested at his home on 31 January during a targeted raid.

  • 23.3g of class A drugs
  • 1,172 MDMA pills
  • 3g cannabis
  • £1,400 in cash

Officers also seized a “burner” phone linked to the operation. Messages on the device revealed Dean’s involvement in large-scale drug dealing.

Three-Year Jail Term for Drugs Boss

Dean pleaded guilty to six offences ranging from possession with intent to supply class A drugs, cannabis possession, to possession of criminal property at Guildford Crown Court on Monday 1 February.

The very next day, he was sentenced to three years and four months behind bars.

The £1,400 cash haul was confiscated and now goes directly to Surrey Drugs and Alcohol Care (SDAC).

“We work around the clock to disrupt drug supply in Surrey,” said PC David Oliver, who led the investigation. “The Tarzan drugs line was shut down and the ring-leader is now behind bars in less than a year. There is no place to hide for drug dealers in our county.”
