Man Busted with Suspected Class A Drugs Near High Street

Police stopped and searched a 25-year-old man near Dover’s High Street on Wednesday, 19 July 2023. They seized a small amount of suspected class A drugs and several mobile phones. The man was arrested on suspicion of drug supply and has since been bailed as investigations continue.

Heroin Seized in Leyburne Road Drug Raid

The very next day, officers raided a property on Leyburne Road. The search uncovered suspected heroin. Three people — two men and a woman aged between 37 and 58 — were arrested. Police are still probing the activity linked to the premises.

Sergeant Warns Community: Police Cracking Down on Drug Crime

“Dover’s Neighbourhood Task Force and Beat Team have heard from local residents about concerns around drug dealing in the town,” said Sergeant Alex Miles of the Dover Community Safety Unit.

“We fully understand the impact drug dealing, along with the knock-on crime and antisocial behaviour, has on communities. We are determined to make arrests and build strong cases against those involved.”

“I urge anyone with drug-dealing concerns to report it via the Kent Police website — or dial 999 if a crime is happening right now.”
