Man Charged Over Shocking Sexual Assault on Teen Girl
Suspect Named: Charles Okiy, 37
Charles Temearauebikonte Okiy, 37, from New Road East, faces serious charges. He’s been charged with one count of sexual assault on a female aged 13 or over, plus four counts of penetration with a part of the body or an object.
The Incident
The attack reportedly happened late on Sunday, July 17. Between 10pm and 10:30pm, a teenage girl was walking along St. Mary’s Road. She was approached on the footbridge over the railway tracks by an unknown man who then assaulted her.

Okiy is set to appear in portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth Magistrates Court today, Friday 22 July, to face the charges brought against him.
