Midnight Brawl at Gosport Ferry Terminal Leaves Two Men Injured

Police rushed to Gosport Ferry Terminal just after midnight on Sunday following reports of a violent fight. Two men in their 30s suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital. Thankfully, both have now been discharged and returned home.

Two Arrests Made Near Scene

Officers quickly arrested two suspects close to the scene. Christopher Shaun Hale, 33, from West Street, Fareham, and Jordan Stephen Alexander Lewsley, 26, of Sandcroft Close, Gosport, have both been charged with two counts of Section 18 Grievous Bodily Harm with intent.

Charged Men Remanded Ahead of Crown Court Hearing

The pair appeared at portsmouth/" title="Portsmouth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Monday 19 April and were remanded in custody. They are due to face Portsmouth Crown Court on Monday 17 May. The case remains under investigation as police piece together what sparked the violent clash.
