Teen Charged After Knife Attack in Portsmouth
Fabian Silva, 18, from Sedgley Close, Portsmouth, has been hit with charges of grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article. He was remanded in custody and appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court this morning (May 4).
Man Stabbed on Arundel Street
Police rushed to Arundel Street near Buckingham Street just after 5.30pm on Friday, April 30, following reports of a knife attack. Officers found a 19-year-old man from Fratton with a stab wound. He was taken to hospital with injuries that are serious but not life-threatening.
Suspects Arrested and Investigation Ongoing
Hampshire Constabulary confirmed an 18-year-old man from Southsea was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody. Two other Portsmouth men, aged 20 and 18, were also arrested for assisting an offender but have been released pending further investigation.
Police Seek Help to Identify Key Witness
Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the investigation. He is described as a white male, around 6ft tall, slim build. He wore a black puffa jacket with a dark blue hood, dark jogging bottoms, black trainers, and white socks. He was seen with a black scooter featuring green writing on the stem.
Police admit the image doesn’t show his face but hope someone will recognise the clothing or scooter.
