Drugs Bust in Strood: Police Crack Down on County Lines Operation

Locked Safe Uncovered During Raid

Kent Police’s County Lines and Gangs Team swooped on a property on Station Road, Strood, on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Inside, officers found a locked safe hidden in a cupboard. After a thorough search, they located the key and opened it to uncover a stash of drugs.

Cocaine and Heroin Seized

The safe contained multiple wraps of cocaine and heroin, alongside compressed blocks of heroin, evidence of serious dealing activity.

Two Arrested After Major Haul

A man and a woman were taken into custody. Edwin Aghatise, 32, of Station Road, was charged with possession of cocaine and heroin with intent to supply. He was remanded in custody and set to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 9.

The woman, in her twenties and also from Strood, was released on bail pending further investigation.
