One Year On: Hunt Continues for Noore Bashir Salad’s Killers

It’s been a year since 22-year-old Noore Bashir Salad was brutally shot and stabbed to death in Newham. Police are urgently appealing for anyone with new information to come forward and help catch his killers.

Detectives Plead for Witnesses to Speak Up

Detective Sergeant Mike Herrick, leading the investigation, said: “Noore was savagely attacked in the street. Despite several arrests, no one has been charged yet. I’m hoping that with time passing, someone who stayed silent may now step forward.”

He added: “This was a horrific and intentional murder. The injuries were so catastrophic, medics struggled to tell if they came from a knife or gun. Witnesses say the killers kept attacking even after Noore was mortally wounded.”

DS Herrick stressed the need for the killers to be found and stopped: “If you have any information, please help us take these violent people off our streets.”

The Deadly Attack: What Happened That Night?

  • Police were called just before 9.30pm on 8 April 2019 to reports of a man injured on Church Road, E12.
  • Noore, from Stratford, was found with gunshot and knife wounds.
  • London Ambulance Service tried to save him at the scene but he tragically died.
  • A post-mortem revealed a knife wound to the leg was fatal.

Investigation Update: Arrests Made but No Charges Yet

Since the murder, ten men and one woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder and assisting an offender. All remain released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Detectives urge anyone with information, no matter how small, to call the incident room on 020 8345 3715. Your tip could be the missing piece of the puzzle to bring justice for Noore.
