Coercive Partner Locked Up
Simeon Harry has been slapped with a 42-month prison sentence after terrorising a woman with controlling and coercive behaviour — and threatening her with a knife. Police swooped on Harry following a domestic disturbance in September 2022 at the victim’s home.
Guilty Plea Seals Fate
Harry faced charges of coercive control and threatening the woman in a private setting. He pleaded guilty at Lewes Crown Court on March 30, 2023. Alongside his jail term, Harry must obey an indefinite restraining order barring any contact with his victim.
Victim’s Bravery Praised
“Coercive and controlling behaviour is a form of domestic abuse that devastates victims and their loved ones,” said Investigator Michelle Mitham of the Safeguarding Investigations Unit. “The victim showed great courage in coming forward and helping us bring Harry to justice.”
