Man Jailed for 22 Child Sex Offences Spanning 13 Years
John Keevil, 52, of Landford, has been handed a 14-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to 22 counts of sexual offences against four children. The crimes occurred in Salisbury, Wiltshire, between 1997 and 2010.
Victims Now Adults Reveal Shocking Abuse
The victims, now grown men living in Hampshire, were between nine and 17 years old when Keevil committed the offences. The court heard how the 52-year-old abused his position to exploit the children over more than a decade.
Police Praise Victims’ Bravery
Detective Inspector John McGonigle led the Hampshire Constabulary investigation, supported by Wiltshire Police. He said:
“I would like to commend the victims in this investigation for the bravery and courage they have shown in coming forward after living with the horror of these attacks for many years.”
This joint police effort has ensured justice for the survivors and brought Keevil’s reign of abuse to an end.
