A police helicopter from the National Police Air Support squadron was spotted hovering low over the quiet village of Lenham just after 7pm on Thursday. The chopper conducted aerial patrols near Lenham School and the industrial estate, responding to a request from Kent Police.

Meanwhile, officers flooded a property on Honywood Road, signalling a serious incident unfolding. A police dog handler was also called in, intensifying the search efforts between Ham Lane and Robins Avenue.
