Stabbing Outside British Museum: Police Hunt for CCTV Footage
Man Stabbed Near Iconic Museum
Detectives are appealing for anyone who filmed a stabbing outside the British Museum on Tuesday, 8 August, to come forward. The attack happened around 10am at the busy junction of Great Russell Street and Museum Street.
A 36-year-old victim suffered stab wounds to his arm and was rushed to hospital. Thankfully, he has since been discharged after treatment.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Officers arrested a 37-year-old man at the scene. He has been charged and remains in custody ahead of his Wood Green Crown Court hearing on Monday, 11 September.
Police Urge Witnesses to Share Footage
Detective Constable Jacob Morray-Jones, leading the probe, thanked those who have already helped but stressed more info is needed. “We believe a number of people may have filmed the incident or its aftermath and we are keen to see any footage that could help progress our investigation,” he said.
