Woman Assaulted in Crawley Street Attack
Crawley Police are hunting for witnesses after a woman was assaulted near Hudson Road or Hawth Avenue on the evening of Friday, 24 February. The attack happened around 9.15pm, leaving the victim with a head injury.
Police Seek CCTV and Eyewitnesses
Officers are begging anyone who saw the assault or has dash cam, doorbell, or CCTV footage to come forward. “We’re keen to hear from anyone with information that could help,” said PC Gemma Sutton from the Crawley Safeguarding Investigation Unit.
Known Suspect Arrested
PC Sutton confirmed the victim and suspect knew each other. “The incident is not linked to any other crimes,” she added.
A 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. The investigation is ongoing, and police urge the public to get in touch immediately with any tips.
