Man Seriously Assaulted in New Rossington, Three Arrested

Emergency services rushed to Grange Road, New Rossington, at 8.50am on Thursday (24 February) after reports of a serious assault. A 40-year-old man was found with critical injuries and was immediately taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Three Arrested Over Brutal Attack

  • A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
  • A 49-year-old man from Doncaster was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but has since been released on police bail.
  • A 41-year-old woman from Doncaster was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released on police bail.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Inspector Thomas Bright, leading the inquiry, said:

“Our enquiries are ongoing to build a full picture of what happened. There will be an increased police presence in the area throughout the day. I urge anyone with concerns or information to come forward.” “If you were on Grange Road from 8.30am onwards on Thursday, please get in touch. Even the smallest detail could be vital.” “We are especially keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage from the area that morning.”
