Man Hospitalised After Brutal Assault at Lancing Football Match

Police are hunting witnesses after a serious attack at a football game in Lancing on Saturday, January 28.

Victim Left with Serious Facial Injuries

A 24-year-old man was viciously assaulted halfway through the first half at Croshaw Recreational Ground. He was rushed to hospital with severe face injuries and remains there as police investigate.

Suspect Arrested but Released on Bail

A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He is now out on bail until April 20.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

“We want to hear from anyone who saw the assault or has footage from the match,” said Crime Investigator Neil Carter. “There were lots of people there, and we need their help to crack this case.”
