Hit-and-Run Horror on Marine Parade West
A serious hit-and-run has rocked Marine Parade West after a Ford Transit van slammed into an elderly pedestrian just after 2pm on Sunday, June 26, 2022.
80-Year-Old Man Seriously Hurt
The victim, a man in his 80s, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he remains in treatment. Shockingly, the driver didn’t stop at the scene.
Drunk Driver Busted in Curdridge
Police tracked down the van hours later in Curdridge and arrested a 48-year-old man from Gosport. He faces multiple charges including:
- Driving over the alcohol limit
- Failing to stop after a collision
- Dangerous driving causing serious injury
- Driving while intoxicated on drugs and alcohol
The suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
