Officers searching a vehicle in Brookfield Gardens uncovered a baseball bat and a police-style baton – weapons that raised alarm bells instantly.

Man Arrested Over Offensive Weapons

A 27-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons in a public place. He has since been released on bail as investigations continue.

Police Hunting Other Suspects

Inspector Simon Spooner from Nottinghamshire Police said: “Preventing and reducing harm from dangerous weapons is a priority. We are tackling this criminality head-on.”

“We’re working hard to trace other individuals involved and urge anyone with info to come forward.”
