Teen Charged with Murder of Eleanor Gould in Calne
A 17-year-old boy from Calne has been charged with the murder of Eleanor Gould. Wiltshire Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team took action today, remanding the teenager in custody. He is set to appear at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Tuesday 7 May 2019. For legal reasons, his name cannot be released.
Police Praise Community Support Amid Investigation
Inspector Don Pocock thanked locals from Calne and Chippenham for their patience and support during the investigation. He said:
“A case like this takes time and understandably affects the community. Thank you for your help and understanding. The increased police presence over recent days may have caused anxiety, but it aims to offer reassurance and keep everyone safe.”
