Police Dogs Sniff Out Stolen Tools and Tractor in Whitstable Heist

Two heroic police dogs helped officers recover a haul of stolen tools and a tractor from a caravan park maintenance yard in Whitstable.

Dogs YooFoo and Ciara Crack the Case

Kent Police swung into action after a burglary alarm at a St John’s Road site on the evening of Wednesday 31 January. Police dogs YooFoo and Ciara were deployed and quickly found the stolen equipment on Swalecliffe Court Drive.

While Police Dog YooFoo stood guard over the recovered tools, Ciara and her handler spotted a suspicious man nearby and began tracking him down.

Man Arrested as Tractor Found on Local Beach

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft and vehicle theft soon after, thanks to the dogs’ sharp noses. The stolen tractor was later discovered abandoned on a nearby beach the next day.

Suspect Bailed as Investigation Continues

The arrested man has been bailed pending further enquiries as police continue to piece together the full story.
