Car Crime Spree: Man Charged After Ramming Shops and Stealing Cars in Southampton
21-Year-Old Odin Osman Busted
Police have charged 21-year-old Odin Osman of Paignton Road, Southampton, with multiple offences involving burglary and car theft.
Rammed Shops and Snatched Vehicles
- Aggravated Vehicle Theft: Osman allegedly stole a Nissan Qashqai during a burglary at a home on Lower Swanwick Road between June 17-18.
- Business Burglaries: On June 19, Osman is accused of ramming the front of La Ora in Hedge End with a vehicle, stealing cash and an iPhone.
- Co-op Raids: The same day, he reportedly crashed a Nissan Qashqai into the Co-op at Netley Abbey, stealing a large haul of cigarettes.
- Another Attempt: Osman is charged with trying to break into the Co-op on Spring Road, Southampton, by ramming a vehicle into the door.
- Further Motor Theft: Between July 8-9, Osman allegedly took a Volkswagen Golf without consent from a home in Aspen Close.
Court Appearance
Osman is set to face Southampton Magistrates Court today (July 11) as police clamp down on a spree of brazen car thefts and smash-and-grab raids across the city.
