Massive Cannabis Haul Seized in Sherwood Drug Bust
Nottinghamshire Police smashed a major drug operation after seizing 153kg of cannabis wrapped in parcels from Los Angeles. The haul landed on Hucknall Road, Sherwood, where officers swooped on Wednesday (16 November 2022) to execute a warrant.
Four Arrested, £100k Cash Seized
Following the airport intercept, police raided the Sherwood address and arrested four suspects. Alongside the drugs, they recovered around £100,000 in cash.
Curtis Campbell Charged, Women Released on Bail
Curtis Campbell, 30, from Top Valley, Nottingham, faces charges for importing a Class B drug. He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 19 November and was remanded in custody. Campbell is set for Nottingham Crown Court on 16 December.
Three women, aged 27, 54, and 57, arrested during the investigation have now been released on conditional bail as the police probe continues.
Police Determined to Cut Drug Harm
“The force is determined to do everything possible, working with partners like UK Border Force, to prevent illegal drugs from hitting our streets and causing harm in our communities,” said Detective Sergeant James Hirst. “I am pleased we have now been able to charge a suspect following our detailed inquiries who will now be appearing before the court.”
