Man Charged After Acid Attack in Eastbourne Road Rage

Police have arrested a man following a shocking attack in Eastbourne where two people were doused with a corrosive liquid. The scary incident unfolded on St Anne’s Road at 8.51am on Saturday, August 29, after a reported road traffic collision involving a black Renault Megane.

Ammonia Spray Used in Shocking Assault

The driver of the car, 38-year-old Frank Graham from Upperton Road, Eastbourne, allegedly got out and threw a liquid—believed to be ammonia—into the faces of two men. Both victims needed medical treatment for minor injuries.

Frank Graham Faces Serious Charges

Graham has been charged with two counts of throwing a corrosive fluid with intent to cause serious harm. On top of that, he faces charges including aggravated vehicle taking, vehicle damage, possession of Class A and B drugs, driving without a licence or insurance, and assaulting an emergency worker.

He is currently remanded in custody and will appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 31.
