Woman Stabbed to Death in King’s Lynn

Emergency services rushed to a Highgate property in King’s Lynn just after midnight on Saturday, April 16. A woman in her 50s was found seriously injured inside. She was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital but tragically died from stab wounds to the abdomen.

Police Launch Murder Probe

The victim has been provisionally identified as Dace Kalkerte, aged 50, from King’s Lynn. A Home Office post mortem confirmed the stab wounds as the cause of death. Three suspects were arrested the same day: two men aged in their 40s and 50s, and a woman in her 50s.

Birute Klicneliene, 50, of Sir Lewis Street, King’s Lynn, was charged with murder. She has been remanded in custody and will appear before Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, April 19. The two men have been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Ongoing Investigation and Police Appeal

Police say all parties involved know each other. A cordon remains in place outside the Highgate home and is expected to last several days as detectives dig deeper into the case.
