Gunshots Rock Edgware Street Days Before Christmas

Police scrambled to Abbots Road in Edgware at 9:15pm on Friday, December 23 after reports of a parked car being damaged. Officers believe the damage was caused by a gunshot, sparking a full investigation.

Crime Scene and Forensics Swarm the Area

The Metropolitan Police confirmed a crime scene has been set up, with forensics combing the area late into Christmas Eve searching for clues. Residents described the street as “covered in police tape and forensics” after hearing loud gunshots rip through the night.

Gunman Still on the Loose, No Injuries Reported

So far, no arrests have been made and the gunman remains at large. A Met Police spokesperson assured that there have been “no reports of any injuries.” Locals believe it was a drive-by shooting gone wrong. One witness said, “they missed their target,” while another added, “the gunshots were so loud.”
