Suspect Arrested but Released on Bail

Sussex Police are hunting for witnesses after a man was spiked and assaulted outside a shop on Western Road near Clarence Square on June 27th between 7 pm and 8 pm. A 40-year-old Brighton man was arrested over false imprisonment, administering a noxious substance, and assault. He has since been released on bail as investigations continue.

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

There are believed to be many witnesses to the shocking attack. Sussex Police are calling on anyone who saw the incident or captured footage nearby to come forward and help with the inquiry.
