Drug Bust in Thanet: E-Scooter Escape Foiled, £10K Cannabis Seized
Police swooped on Victoria Road, Thanet, on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 6, 2022, after locals tipped off officers about suspected drug dealing in the area.
Man Tries to Dodge Cops on E-Scooter
As officers approached a crowd, a man made a dash, hopping on an e-scooter in a bid to flee. But he was quickly caught and detained.
£10,000 Worth of Cannabis Found
The man was found with a rucksack stuffed with cannabis estimated to be worth £10,000 on the black market. Police also recovered a sum of cash.
Two Arrested in Margate
A 25-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were nabbed nearby on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. Both have been released on bail while police continue their probe.
