£10,000 Worth of Cannabis Seized After E-Scooter Escape Attempt in Thanet
Thanet police swooped on Victoria Road on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 6, 2022, following reports of drug dealing from local residents. As officers closed in on a suspicious crowd, a man tried to make a getaway on an e-scooter – but was quickly caught.
Quick Arrests and Big Haul
The man was detained, and police seized a rucksack stuffed with cannabis estimated to be worth £10,000 on the black market. They also recovered a sum of cash linked to the suspected drug dealing.
Two others were arrested nearby in Margate: a 25-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both suspected of possession with intent to supply. They’ve since been released on bail as the investigation continues.
