Man Charged with Murder After Ryde Death

Police have charged a man following a murder investigation in Ryde. Officers found the body of 33-year-old Scott Edward Cooper at a flat on George Street on the afternoon of Tuesday 4 January.

Suspect Held in Custody

Piers Carl Brazier, 38, from George Street, Ryde, has been charged with murder. He was remanded in custody and appeared at West Hampshire Magistrates Court on Saturday 8 January.

A 28-year-old man, also arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody. Meanwhile, a 29-year-old man arrested in connection with the case has been released on conditional bail as investigations continue.
