Man Arrested After Morning Disturbance Near East Sussex Schools

Police swooped on a 55-year-old man after multiple reports of offensive behaviour in Etchingham Road on Wednesday morning (September 9).

The rowdy incidents happened around 8.30am as parents and pupils from Langney Primary School and St Catherine’s School were heading to class.

Man Released on Bail with Strict Conditions

Officers arrested the local man at the scene. He has since been bailed until October 8.

  • No open alcohol containers in public unless at licensed venues
  • Must stay indoors between 8am-9am and 3pm-4pm, Monday to Friday

Police Hunt Witnesses to Help With Investigation

Enquiries are ongoing. Police urge anyone who saw the incident to come forward.
