Gloucester Assault Horror: Police Hunt Elderly Attacker After Two Brutal Attacks
Gloucestershire Police have released an e-fit of a man wanted over two shocking assaults on a woman in Gloucester. The horrifying attacks happened just days apart, leaving the victim traumatised and seriously injured.
First Attack: Verbal Abuse and Attempted Assault on Pippin Close
The first incident occurred on Saturday, April 13, around 1pm on Pippin Close in Abbeymead. Police say the man verbally abused the woman and tried to strike her. Thankfully, she dodged the blow. The suspect, unknown to the victim, then walked off towards Lobleys Drive. Just days later, the same man confronted her again in Brockworth, hurling verbal abuse.
Second Attack: Brutal Assault on James Grieve Road Causes Eye Injury
On Tuesday, April 16, at about 10:15am, the attacker struck again. This time on James Grieve Road in Abbeymead, he snuck up from behind and hit the woman in the face with an unknown object. He aimed a second blow but she managed to escape. The savage attack left her with an eye injury, requiring surgery.
Suspect Description and Police Appeal
- The suspect is described as a white man in his 60s, medium height, stocky build, with short grey hair.
- He wore a blue top, black jeans, and carried a rucksack.
- He speaks with a distinctive local accent.
- During the second attack, he was with a younger white man in his 30s, wearing a hat and face covering.
Gloucestershire Police urge anyone who recognises this man or has any information to come forward immediately. Reports can be made online quoting incident number 41 from April 16.
