Witnesses Wanted After Shock Assault on Maidstone High Street
Unprovoked Attack Near Town Hall
Chaos erupted on Maidstone’s High Street in the early hours of Sunday, October 6, 2024. At around 2:30am, a man near the town hall was punched in the head without warning and knocked unconscious. The attacker then fled the scene, heading towards Gabriel’s Hill and King Street with another man.
Suspect on the Run
Police describe the assailant as a white male in his early 20s, with brown hair swept back. He was last seen wearing a grey bodywarmer-style jacket. The identity of his accomplice remains unknown.
Police Urge Public for Crucial Info
Kent Police are desperate to track down witnesses to this brazen assault. They especially want to hear from taxi drivers or anyone with dash cam footage from the area at the time.
“If you saw anything or have footage that could help, please come forward,” said a spokesman for Kent Police.
