Battle Burglar Nabbed After £600 Vape Heist

Late-Night Break-In at Battle Business

Police have arrested a man after a burglary rocked a Battle business. The raid happened just before 9pm on Sunday, 5 February, at Old Ladies Court near Battle High Street.

Vapes and Prime Drinks Stolen

Thieves made off with vapes, Prime drinks, and Mary’s Elf Bar e-cigarettes worth around £600. The haul was suspected to be targeted for a quick profit.

Suspect in Custody

Following a swift investigation, officers arrested a 34-year-old man from Battle. He remains in police custody on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal.

Inspector Olivia Carroll, hastings/" title="Hastings" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Hastings and Rother Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We know the serious emotional and financial toll business crime takes on our communities. We acted quickly and, with victim support, secured an arrest.”

“Business owners and the wider community can be assured we will take strong action against such crimes. We’re also working closely with partners to cut down offenders’ chances of striking again.”
