Man Arrested After £600 Vape Store Burglary in Battle

A 34-year-old man from Battle has been arrested following a late-night break-in at a local business near Battle High Street.

£600 Worth of Vapes and Prime Drinks Stolen

Just before 9pm on Sunday, February 5, thieves targeted a store in Old Ladies Court, making off with vapes, Prime drinks, and Mary’s Elf Bar E-cigarettes valued at around £600.

Quick Police Action Leads to Arrest

Officers launched an immediate investigation after receiving the burglary report on Tuesday, February 7. Their swift enquiries paid off, resulting in the arrest of a Battle man suspected of burglary with intent to steal. He remains in police custody.

Inspector Olivia Carroll, hastings/" title="Hastings" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Hastings and Rother Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We understand the serious emotional and financial toll business crime takes on our communities. We acted quickly on this case and, with victim support, made this arrest.

“We want to reassure local businesses and residents that we will continue to take strong action against thefts and burglaries. We’re also working closely with partners to reduce opportunities for offenders.”
