Rail Chaos Hits East London and Essex This Easter!

c2c passengers brace yourselves! Major engineering works will wreak havoc across east London and Essex from Monday 14 April to Easter Sunday 20 April. Expect service diversions, replacement buses, and timetable shake-ups on multiple lines.

Week-Long Disruptions: What You Need to Know

Monday 14 – Thursday 17 April

  • Basildon Line (after 10:45pm): Trains between 123 via Ockendon are diverted, skipping:
    • Upminster
    • Ockendon
    • Chafford Hundred

Replacement buses cover these stops. District Line tickets accepted here too.

Friday 18 April (Good Friday)

  • All c2c lines run on a reduced Sunday timetable.

Saturday 19 April

  • No disruption – services run as normal.

Sunday 20 April (Easter Sunday)

  • Basildon Line: Services between Liverpool Street and Barking, and between Basildon and 123 or follow @c2c_Rail on social media for live updates.
