Security Worker Jailed for Sex Attack on Teen at Worcester Station
A security staffer has been locked up after assaulting a 14-year-old girl at a Worcestershire train station. Aamar Mohammed, 35, from Sandwell, was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault after a week-long trial.
Chilling Attack at Worcester Shrub Hill Station
On 14 November 2021, Mohammed, wearing a high-vis vest, approached the teenager at Worcester Shrub Hill station, pretending to help. He asked about her travel plans and escorted her to the platform. Then he led her into a station office under the pretext of “keeping warm” – and switched off the lights. Inside, he forced himself on the girl. She managed to break free and ran back to the platform. In a sick twist, Mohammed waved at her as her train pulled away.
Fast Police Action Leads to Tough Sentence
- The victim told her family immediately, who contacted police.
- British Transport Police (BTP) arrested Mohammed the very same evening.
- After skipping a hearing, he was rearrested at home in March 2023.
- On 12 January at Worcester Crown Court, Mohammed was jailed for three years and eight months.
- He was also handed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will stay on the sex offenders register for life.
“Specialist support was provided to the victim throughout the investigation and court proceedings,” said a BTP spokesperson.
This grim case is a stark reminder to stay alert at transport hubs and stands as a win for vulnerable victims demanding justice.
