Repeat Offender Locked Up for Breaching Sexual Risk Order in Crawley
Malak Siftul-Hassan, a repeat sex offender with no fixed address, has been slapped with a 12-month prison sentence for breaking a Sexual Risk Order in Crawley. The order was handed down on 4 January at Brighton Magistrates’ Court following investigations into the sexual exploitation of a teenage girl.
Banned from Contacting Teen Tried to Sneak Around
The Sexual Risk Order strictly forbade Siftul-Hassan from being near anyone under 18 without an adult or contacting a specific 16-year-old girl. But on the evening of Friday, 8 March, he was spotted hanging around with the girl in Crawley town centre – blatantly ignoring the order.
Damning Phone Evidence Seals His Fate
After his arrest the next day, police searched Siftul-Hassan’s mobile phone. They found recent messages between him and the underage girl, proving he twice breached the Sexual Risk Order.
Judge Delivers Tough Sentence to Protect Vulnerable
At Lewes Crown Court on 10 June, the judge made it clear that repeated breaches like this will not be tolerated. “This sentence reflects the seriousness of your offences and the need to safeguard vulnerable individuals,” the judge said as Siftul-Hassan was handed a 12-month jail term.
