Police Clamp Down on Troublemakers at Dane Road Address

Kent Police have had enough of ongoing chaos at a Dane Road property, with complaints flooding in since August 2021 about loud noise, drug use, and general disturbances.

Ban Imposed After Persistent Nuisance

Officers from the Thanet Community Safety Unit took decisive action. On Friday 10 December, they secured a court order at Margate Magistrates’ Court, banning anyone but the landlord or approved contractors from entering the address until 10 March 2022.

Breaking the Ban Means Big Trouble

Ignore the order and you’re risking arrest. Offenders face an unlimited fine and up to 51 weeks behind bars.

“We fully understand the impact that anti-social behaviour has on people living near properties like this one and will always use the full remit of our powers to take robust and proportionate action,” said Inspector Ian Swallow from the Thanet Community Safety Unit.

“This includes working closely with Thanet District Council and other agencies. I’m confident this action will improve the local community.”
