Knife Horror in Portsmouth: New Stabbing Sends Man to Hospital
Shearer Road in Portsmouth saw fresh mayhem tonight after reports of yet another stabbing rocked the neighbourhood. Hours after police sealed off roads in nearby Fratton due to a violent attack, locals are rattled once again.
Man Stabbed in Hand but Refuses to Complain
Police confirmed they were called to an address just after 7.30pm following reports of a man stabbed in the hand. The victim has been taken to hospital, but sources say he declined to file a complaint. Witnesses claim a knife was involved, sparking fresh fears in the community.
Area Haunted by Violence and Neglect
The attack took place just three doors away from where a woman was viciously hammered over the head months ago. Neighbours say the area is spiralling down, dubbing it the new ‘Fratton Ghetto’.
“It’s getting worse and the Police don’t seem to be doing anything to tackle the goings on, it’s as if mob rules,” said one resident. “I’ve reported drug dealing and people taking crack in the church grounds multiple times but nothing ever gets done. The days of coming in and closing your door to get away with things are gone when it’s happening on your own doorstep.”
Sheila Merritt added: “What is going on lately seems to be getting worse on the streets. They should put patrols back out on foot, not just one in cars or hiding behind desks.”
Calls for Serious Action
With attacks mounting and police seeming slow to respond, locals are fed up and demanding urgent intervention to restore safety on their streets.
