Tragic Shooting Shakes Seattle: Uncle Dies, 9-Year-Old Nephew Survives
Gunfire Rocks Harvard Avenue
At around 5.18pm, police rushed to the 1500 block of Harvard Avenue. They found a 23-year-old man and his 9-year-old nephew both suffering from gunshot wounds.
Life-Saving Efforts and Grim Outcome
Officers administered first aid while waiting for Seattle Fire Department medics. Both victims were rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Sadly, the adult man later died. The child remains in stable condition.
Suspect Held as Investigation Intensifies
The young boy was sitting in the front passenger seat of his uncle’s car when the shooting happened. Police arrested a 35-year-old man at the scene. They also recovered the firearm involved.
Homicide Unit Takes Over Probe
Detectives have arrived to lead the investigation. The suspect is set to be booked into King County Jail as the case unfolds.
