Met Police officer sacked without warning after shocking misconduct ruling.
Student Officer Booted Over Sexual Misconduct
- PC Hywel Williams, a trainee at Central South Command Unit, was found guilty of unwanted sexual touching of a colleague while off-duty in May 2022.
- Eight other allegations against him were dismissed as “not proven.”
- The hearing branded his behaviour as discreditable conduct, breaching professional standards.
Met Police Hits Back: Zero Tolerance
Detective Chief Superintendent Seb Adjei-Addoh slammed Williams’ conduct:
“PC Williams behaved in a way not compatible with being a serving police officer. It’s only right he’s been dismissed.”
“Officers hold a position of trust. When behaviour falls below this, we take swift action to remove them from the Met.”
Blacklisted from Every UK Police Force
- Williams is now on the barred list maintained by the College of Policing.
- He’s banned from working for any police force, Police and Crime Commissioners, the IOPC, or HMICFRS.
The Metropolitan Police reiterates its fierce commitment to uphold professional standards and rooting out misconduct at every level.
