Swindon cops have ramped up patrols following a spike in violent knife crime across the town.
Police on the Streets
Over the coming weeks, officers from multiple units will boost high-visibility patrols in hotspot areas. They’re also cracking down with bail and closure order checks to keep dangerous offenders off the streets.
Swift Action Against Crime
In just the first week of this blitz, police carried out 130 patrols on foot and in vehicles. They stopped 22 people for searches, checked 55 closure orders, and conducted 43 bail checks.
Arrests Made, More to Come
Six arrests have already been made linked to weapons offences. Officers remain determined to tackle Swindon’s rising knife crime.
